Sin city is a massive inspiration on the style I want to try and achieve in my comic. I like the heavy use of block black, as well as this I really like the way that the clothing is portrayed

I really line the composition of the panels on this page, I also really like the use of block coloured images, focusing mainly on the character. This is something that I really want to focus on in my own interactive narrative.

unmanned is a great little independent game. Focused around the player making decisions just through what they say to the people around them. I really like the way that this game plays and the decisions through speech is something I'm really going to look into in my own work.

These two images from a spiderman comic show really good composition and good use of working with text within the image. I also like the way in which the text bubble makes the readers eye move along the image with the story to once again create an in-gauging story.

This image once again follows the use of dark blocks of black to create shading, definition and tone. Another thing that I really like about this image is the use of block colours in creating the scenery in bothe the foreground and background. I really like this style as it focuses the reader on the character and his actions and therefore helps create a more engrossing story and single image.

I really like this old school style of drawing superheros. I like the simplicity of the outer lines contrasted the dark blocks of inner muscle definition and tone. This is something I really want to try and emulate in my comic.

Dc is another really good first port of call for looking at initial ideas. It's especially good when your looking to give your creation character as they have the extremes of the darkness of batman alongside the brightness of Superman

marvel

The marvel website is a really good place to start looking at what types of characters already exist as well as giving you inspiration for what style you want to go for in your own comic. Its also really good for looking at composition of images especially when working with text in the image.
